For various reasons, colour changed and yellowing teeth; in the control of dentists, a few tons of whitening of the tooth colour by applying a chemical agent is called bleaching.
In our teeth, discolouration or stains may occur due to external or internal factors.
External factors; tooth discolouration causing beverages (tea, coffee, cola etc.), smoking, tartar.
Internal factors; antibiotics, root canal treatments, tetracycline staining etc.
There are two methods of whitening; the first is the “home bleaching” method applied by the patient at home. It is made by plaque and gel prepared by dentist.
The other method is “office bleaching”.
In office applications, the whitening process is carried out in an average of 1 hour by the physician’s application of the whitening gel (agent) and the light source that activates the gel.
Whitening may vary from patient to patient. There may be sensitivity after the procedure, but it is temporary.
